Lagoon Sludge Profiling

Our partners at Geo-Dredging and Dewatering Solutions Inc. specialise in lagoon sludge surveying. Geo-Dredging understands the importance of accuracy when determining the quantity of sludge contained in a lagoon or pond.

Through experience they have developed methodologies to accurately determine sludge quantities. Geo-Dredging is not only committed to providing clients with the most accurate information possible, but to providing solutions which are tailored to each of their clients based on specific deliverables required.

Bishop Water Technologies thorough Bench Testing Program is undertaken with every sludge profiling project. Our partnership with Geo-Dredging and Dewatering Solutions Inc allows us to provide more than just a volume of sludge, but also accurate costing to de-sludge the pond or lagoon using the Geotube® technology.

GEO-DREDGING AND DEWATERING SOLUTIONS INC WILL:

• Ascertain the percent solids of various sludge samples from the lagoon.
• Complete a sludge composite of samples to ascertain a polymer cost to dewater.
• Using GPS, sludge judge and sludge gun map sludge levels in lagoons.
• Report an accurate sludge volume contained the lagoon or pond.

LAGOON SLUDGE MAPPING OVERVIEW

• The lagoon(s) will be laid out in a grid
• The lagoon(s) will be mapped using a GPS to ascertain sludge levels
• All samples taken will be analyzed for total percent solids to determine Total Bone Dry Tons of material.
• The GPS will then be overlaid to a map which will be supplied to the client.
• There will be a minimum of 10 samples from each lagoon
• Further analysis can be done at the clients request to determine the feasibility of land application of the material.
